Pinewood Derby Turn in Tool

Pinewood Derby Turn in Tool

I'm not a fan of the bent axle design for setting up a pinewood derby car. I prefer precision and knowing exactly what's happening when I set my car up. To achieve this, I purchased the Pro Driller by Pinewood Pro (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00AHNS5HK), which includes a drill bit and guide to accurately drill axle holes. The outside holes allow for canted wheels, but there is no option for turn in for rail riding. This tool, combined with the Pro Driller tool, allows me to put about a 1-degree angle in my holes. This should give me about 1cm of run over 1m (if my calculations are correct), which is a very gradual turn in. The Pro Driller tool fits within this tool, and the whole thing sits on top of my block. The edges of this tool are 1/2" from the hole closest to the edge (following the arrows at the bottom). This allows me to draw the axle line 1/2" away from my intended spot, then line it up and drill. Because the Pro Driller tool is at an angle, I'll have to readjust the tool for each side or one set of holes will be too far forward/back.
