Pinewood Derby Axle Drilling Guide
thingiverse
This is a tool that I created to assist with lining up my drill press for drilling new axle holes into a Pinewood Derby car block. If your pack permits cars with longer wheel bases, this device can accurately spot the holes for you. The centers of these holes are situated 1/8 inch above the bottom of the block and 5/8 inch inward from each end. Print Settings Printer Brand: Solidoodle Printer: Solidoodle 2 - Pro Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.2 Infill: 25% Notes: I printed this in ABS plastic, which causes warping; therefore, I added discs to the corners for control. You can easily remove them. How I Designed This I used OpenSCAD software to design and draw out this tool.
