I think the design might need scaled down a bit to fit your specific cookie jar needs. I printed this cutter out of Makergeeks's FDA-approved "dishwasher safe" PLA, which was a real challenge to get printing just right. The finished model turned out fantastic after some careful tweaking, but that was all about adjusting the temperature, speed, and type of plastic I used rather than the design itself. I imagine using more traditional plastics would result in an easier print.
