Pine 64 Snap Enclosure - Pinestyle!

Pine 64 Snap Enclosure - Pinestyle!

thingiverse

This is a snap-fitting enclosure for the PINE64, a famous $15 64bit computer funded on Kickstarter in 2015. It's designed to offer something unique and exciting to complement the computer, taking full advantage of 3D printing capabilities. All ports and features remain accessible with the enclosure fitted, or you can quickly pop it open without needing any tools thanks to the snap fits. A great spot at the top is available for storing SD cards, USB sticks, etc. The bottom part is best printed with the base on your print plate, and I recommend printing with a brim to minimize warping. The top part is best printed upside down, with the top laying flat on the plate. Only a small amount of support material is needed for the center section. This design was used as a tutorial in an article called "How to Design 3D Printed Snap Fit Enclosures" written for Formlabs. For all the details, head to my blog at https://edditiveblog.wordpress.com/2016/07/30/design-a-3d-printed-snap-fit-enclosure/ Print Settings Printer: Cocoon Create Rafts: No Supports: Yes Resolution: 0.2mm Infill: 30% Notes: Only the top part needs any support material, and I printed both parts with a brim to minimize warping.
