PINDA protector for Original Prusa i3 MK2S
prusaprinters

I made a PINDA protector cap that fits the MK2S extruder mount to prevent badly warped parts to get stuck on it while printing.

Edit 28/10 2017: Since some people had problems with fitting the original model with the m8 threads I made one with enlarged threads. I have not printed that version myself so feedback is welcome. I would not recommend anyone to use a loose-fitting protector since if it falls off it will probably do more harm than good.

Print Settings

Printer Brand:

Prusa

Printer:

i3 MK2S

Rafts:

No

Supports:

No

Resolution:

0.1

Infill:

100%

Notes:

Print in ABS or other high-temp material since it's close to the hot end.

Post-Printing

Clean the threads

I ran a M8 thread tap through the protector to clean up the threads but you could probably use a M8 bolt or carefully force it on the PINDA probe(at your own risk).

Category: 3D Printer Accessories
