Black pottery pinched beaker crafted with skill, a true marvel of New Forest ware. This exceptional piece is part of the esteemed Durden Collection, carefully preserved at the British Museum. Once belonging to the renowned Barlettt collection, it was unearthed in the 1950s during excavations at Crock Hill within the New Forest. Stunning images of this treasure were captured by David Wheeler on behalf of the New Forest National Park Authority. Hannah Makin and Lawrence Shaw provided invaluable assistance in the process. Rich Potter's models of this remarkable piece were created using state-of-the-art equipment and software from the University of Gothenburg.
