Pinball Flipper Trophy
thingiverse
This is a trophy won in a pinball tournament. Everything was printed with a 0.5 nozzle in ABS. Four parts need to be printed out. 1. The Tower requires support, and Slic3r performed well in slicing it with support. 2. The Flipper needs a wide brim to prevent lifting during the print process. I painted the flipper gold after printing it out. 3. The text panel was printed in black, and I removed the lines that turn off the nozzle and bed heat from the g-code so the printer is ready to go for the actual text to be printed out. Leave the panel on the bed and change the filament (I used gold). 4. The text was sliced with a z offset of 2.9mm, and I also had no brim and a skirt that was wider than the text panel. I started the print with the text panel still on the bed so with the z offset the test printed straight onto the text panel. The text was created in Tinkercad using a Sans font with a height of 6. Then, I adjusted the font height to 5.3mm and the text height over the panel is 1.52mm. The flipper is glued to the tower, and I used PVC solvent for gluing them together.
