Instead of screws or wires, connect the front and hind legs to cross bars using these pins for a project found here: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:34796. Print with support, a resolution of .1mm, 0 shells, and 60% filling. Adjust pin sizes if necessary, then melt the ends using a solder iron (beware of toxic fumes). Secure joints without fusing pins; use plastic washers between parts. Check out pictures for reference.
