Pins and pinholes connect various elements in structures, with each plate file containing approximately 24-48 components. This building tool is ideal for assembling flat objects together; for instance, construct a festive Christmas tree decoration by printing the "pin_combine3.stl" and joining its three parts. Similar designs can be found on Thingiverse from Tbuser and chriscrewdson. Prior to printing plates, test if pins fit into holes using a test file; adjust OpenSCAD or printer settings accordingly. Create or select an STL file for printing, then assemble the components in your desired pattern. Cooling is important during pin printing, so use a fan. For added stability, consider gluing the pieces together. Construct chains by connecting three parts to form a ring, then building the next ring through the first one.
