Pimax VS HTC Vive DAS Side Hinges (Angled)
thingiverse
I have been using velcro strips and other things to try to angle the top of my Pimax headset Outward when attached to the DAS, unfortunately it has been both uncomfortable to position that way and usually it would slip out of Alignment. I experimented with a few versions before settling with this design. First I reversed the hook as compared to the stock and other designs, meaning you attach them from the outside instead of having to push them hard against the cowling to get them on/off. Since V1.0 I made the hinge itself shorter and also changed the relative angle from a 30 deg slant to a 20 deg slant which seems to be about right for my face. The chunky piece buts against the top of the DAS arm and stops it from turning any farther. This also makes the DAS more rigid. For me I find the position is better with the upper part of the pimax HMD slanted outward and the bottom part closer to my eyes. For some other people they prefer to push the bottom part outward and gather the top part in. If this is your preference just swap L and R and they will be upside down. This then holds the bottom canted out by @20 Deg. Let me know if you need any customisations or have any feedback and I can make quick revisions since I have them sitting in Fusion360 with small changes being pretty easy.
