Pimax 8KX speaker replacement with inexpensive clip on VR Earphones Sound kit for Oculus Quest (Amazon). The sound quality is much better than the original 8KX speakers above your ears. I built this so it will have a nice tight fit into the old speaker slot so be careful of the base layer expansion. Every printer is a bit different so you may need to adjust the scale slightly in your slicer to get it just right, or a slight amount of filing on the bottom edge. I have included the Fusion360 file also. (1) Remove the foam on the inside to get at the little screw. Remove the screw. (2) Remove the Speakers (3) Test fit the printed spacer, you may need light filing to get a nice snug fit. You can always back it up with a 2mm wide screw if you wish. (4) Slide the Right and left speakers on watching to make sure the spacer grove is in the Up position. (5) Install the speaker - spacer into the headset lining up the top grove. (6) Slide down the speaker to the lowest position - unplug the old speaker connection and plug in the new ones. I have included the Fusion360 file in case you wish to make it better - I am not a designer but it works. Please upload your better ideas as a remix!
