Fond on the crashsite of Plane Czechoslovak Airlines Flight 001 was a four-engine turboprop airliner, an Ilyushin Il-18B, registered OK-NAB. This aircraft was operating as a scheduled domestic passenger flight from Prague's Ruzyně airport to Bratislava-Ivanka Airport, both in Czechoslovakia. On July 28, 1976, the plane crashed into Zlaté Piesky (Golden Sands) Lake while attempting to land in Bratislava. All 6 crew members and 63 out of 73 passengers survived this catastrophic event.
