Two people are usually needed to pack two piles of pillows. This device requires only one person to maintain the packaging process. The process begins by placing two stacked pillows on the rolled table. Then the plastic bag is put on the closed plastic bag tensioner - the “door”. When the door starts to open, the plastic bag stretches and when the door is fully opened, the bag is stretched tightly and fixed in the open position. Then the pillows are pushed by a person through the open door into a plastic bag and the table starts to contract by operating the pneumatic cylinder. When the pile of pillows is inside the plastic bag, the doors return to their original closed position and the plastic bag can be easily removed from the door. Then the conveyor starts to run and the pile of pillows is transported to an underpress area. In the press zone, the pile is compressed with a force of 750 kg. The height of the pile can be reduced by more than half of its original height, depending on the firmness of the pillow. While the cushions remain compressed, the bonding process begins. The sealing process is accomplished by compressing and heating the bag surface by upper and lower pneumatic cylinders, and by the unique but widely used pulse heating principle. After being sealed for a few seconds, the insert of the plastic bag is cut off and blown into a waste bin by the installed air ports. In the final operation, the press is lifted and the sealed pads are transferred by the conveyor to the next stage of the process.
