A machined bearing sleeve is created for a solid design application. Using SolidWorks 2014, an oversized component was initially modelled as an hexagonal body, then later reduced to the final size by offsetting all faces by -0.02m in relation to their corresponding datum features, followed by filleting the internal edges to accommodate easy disassembly with hand tools and minimizing interference from adjacent components, this being an industrial standard of clearance of approximately 3.6mm per dimension on both axes
