A remodeled PILLBOX - completely made of plastic material - I've recently got as a pharmacy promotional gift.The most interesting feature is surely the design of the hinge, without using an additional hinge pin.In place of the hinge pin a "hinge cover" - made of plastic material - is used and fastened by a PRESS CONNECTION.Other alternative fastening procedures, like CLIP CONNECTION, SCREWING, RIVETING, GLUING, ULTRASONIC WELDING, LASER WELDING or FRICTION WELDING are conceivable.May be, that this simple concept of a hinge design could be used too for other technical applications.The model is available in following data formats:STEP file (.stp) of the assembly, STL files (.stl) of each component.
