Pill Puncher Generator (OpenSCAD)

UpdateThis design has been superseded by a newer version, Pill Puncher 2 Generator. DescriptionI have seen several of these pill pusher/punchers for blister packs, but all upload only one size that is almost guaranteed to not fit your pills.I designed this generator in OpenSCAD to solve that problem. {For anyone new to OpenSCAD, I’ve included a short, simple tutorial to get you started.}How to Use ItTo work best, the program needs you to set the size of the pill and the blister pack bubble. If your pill is round, just set the length and width the same. For oval shapes, you can set either length or width to the longer dimension – I prefer to set the long size to be the length as it keeps the over height of the device shorter. You also choose if you want a catcher for the punched out pill, and whether it is a small square that will likely need print support or a slightly larger polygon shape that does not need support.PrintingIt is designed to be printed on its side, so you may need to add brim to keep the thin edges attached to the bed.I used PLA. Only time and usage will tell if a different material is needed.
