Pill cutter, Europe, 1801-1900
sketchfab
Pill machine for crafting up to thirty pills by hand, likely dating back to the nineteenth century. In the eighteen hundreds, pills were sliced from a long, extensive roll of a mixture containing the drug and cut into fragments. The dosage could be calculated by measuring the length of the roll and dividing it by the number of identical pills. This pill cutter enabled the pills to be divided more precisely into equal pieces. It is operated manually and capable of creating thirty pills in one operation. It also has space for rolling out the mixture.
