This device was crafted using Tinkercad's user-friendly platform, where it can be edited online at https://www.tinkercad.com/things/fTk113zyCsI. To utilize this tool effectively, first, place the pill into the pot located on the lower part of the assembly. Next, position the upper component on top of the bottom piece securely. Once you have both pieces in place, simply step on it to activate the crushing mechanism. As a result of stepping on the device, the pill will be thoroughly pulverized into a fine powder that can then be poured out using the convenient spout at the top. I designed this invention specifically for my grandmother, who struggles with arthritis that severely affects her hands. Thankfully, she does not experience these symptoms in her feet, which made it possible for me to design an assistive device tailored to meet her unique needs. This tool enables her to crush various pills using her feet alone, making it much easier and less stressful than using her fragile hands. The small pouring spout at the top also allows her to retrieve as much of the resulting powder as possible from within the dome-shaped container, minimizing the need for hand involvement altogether. Thankfully, this invention has significantly improved her ability to manage her medication with ease and independence.
