This insert is designed for a standard prescription pill container that allows you to carry two distinct types of pills in one compact unit. Is it safe to use with food? The official response is that it depends on the situation. PLA, or polylactic acid, has been deemed generally recognized as safe for direct contact with edible items, but other potential contaminants could still be present. In my opinion, I find it difficult to envision any contaminants from my specific setup causing significant exposure concerns, yet I must emphasize that this assessment may not apply universally to all setups.
