Pill box (new version in Description)
thingiverse
Human: I designed a pill box with 8 compartments in mind (one for each day and an extra blank one) to prevent the pills from falling out when it's full for a week. The lid rotates smoothly as you simply turn it and flip it over to dispense. UPDATE: I would highly recommend using this upgraded version instead: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1413133 Print Settings: Printer: Monoprice Maker Select Rafts: No Supports: Yes Resolution: .2 Infill: 20 Notes: The picture shown is made with translucent filament and I did two shells, but one would be fine and easier to see inside. I printed this at 60% scale of the attached STL file. It fits the pills/vitamins I use perfectly, but it could easily be bigger for those who take more pills. Things I might modify: I added letters for days of the week in the bottom of each compartment, but they are barely visible in my print. I may choose to do them differently, although they aren't crucially necessary. I could fill in the 8th compartment a bit to designate the start/end of the week. I could have the lid pop onto a plastic knob in the middle instead of just relying on friction to hold it in place, but as it sits now it sticks pretty well. Post-Printing: I had to file/sand down the lip of the hole in the lid because the supports didn't fully print for me this time, but that wasn't a big deal at all. How I Designed This: I used Tinkercad to create this quickly and easily based on some measurements of the pills I was going to use.
