After viewing several pill boxes on Thingiverse and experimenting with a few, I decided to create my own design. The objective was clear: make a pill box that effortlessly releases pills without spilling those for future days. My elderly relative was struggling to extract her medication from store-bought containers, which led me to take action. The initial design successfully achieved its goal but introduced another issue. It turned out that she couldn't grasp or turn the first few versions due to physical limitations. I underestimated the challenges faced by individuals with mobility issues, and I gained a new appreciation for those who persevere despite obstacles. (Kudos to all who continue striving when things get tough! You serve as shining examples and true heroes.) To address this problem, I incorporated side tabs and a top knob into my design. Each assembly requires one M5 x 20 screw, washer, and nut; be cautious not to overtighten, as just enough tension is necessary to prevent the top from becoming too loose. I hope that my creation will benefit others as much as it has helped my relative.
