This is a model of the Pilgrim Monument in Provincetown, Massachusetts. The monument was built to commemorate the first landing place of the Mayflower, before the Pilgrims went to Plymouth. I teach science and design at Provincetown Schools, and the real monument is just outside my classroom window.
