PIKO 57431 (Re 482) plate for LED conversion

This is a replacement part for PIKO 57431 (Re 482) locomotive. The locomotive comes with only front-facing bulb lights, so this piece allows conversion to LED lights and also adds rear ligths. I think it will work perfectly with other PIKO TRAXX locomotives, for example: 57536 BR 285 57539 BR 285 57540 BR 285 57541 BR 285 57542 BR 285 57938 BR 146 57939 BR 185 Instructions You'll need this piece (x2). Print in black with protruding parts facing upwards. White SMD LED (x2, one for each side). I used 1206 LEDs Red SMD LED (x2, one for each side). 1k-2k SMD resistor (x4). I used 0805 resistors. thin wires PVA or clear epoxy glue clear fishing lines as light guide. I used a lines of 1mm diameter, but the holes are 2mm, so I stuffed 5 of lines into a single hole. Instead of fishing lines you might do with with clear epoxy or PVA glue or cut acrylic plate. You'll also need a soldering iron and tweezers. Category: Toys & Games
