This is a fishing lure. The lure design imitates a small bird on the water trying to take flight, which triggers excellent instincts in game fish. Print the slapper and the board then coat them with 5-minute epoxy so they are waterproof. Use a wire as an axle for the paddle and bend over the ends. Install a wire to hold a treble hook on the back with a swivel. Pass a wire through the top and down to the bottom, making a loop so you can connect a leader. Paint it your favorite color. Cast it out in areas where large pike, musky, and bass lurk and reel it back as fast as you can.
