piGrrlZero with Headphone and HDMI

This is a remix of Jpete24 PiGrrl with audio and standoffs. I purchased an Audio Jack from Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00HG7H6TI/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o07_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 I bought the HDMI adapter from Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00BQVK2PU/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 I began by stripping the rubber sheath off of the micro HDMI to HDMI adapter. Next, I cut a square hole in the front of the case big enough for the Micro HDMI to HDMI adapter to fit. Once it fit correctly, I glued it into place. For the audio adapter, I drilled an 1/8 inch hole in the side, threaded the top through, and glued it into place. I followed the wiring diagram from here: http://chemelec.com/Projects/Metal-2a/Metal-2.htm. The only drawback with this setup is that the speaker does not switch off when headphones are inserted; instead, they just get quieter. On the plus side, turning the volume down low enough so that it no longer comes from the speakers makes it the perfect volume for headphones. It's probably possible to get the speaker to cut out completely with additional resistors but I have not looked into this solution yet. The speaker could be removed and the headphone jack would work for audio too if you just want headphones. I created a faceplate to glue onto the front of the modified D-Pad (which was provided by Galvatrondeva at http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2011391) to hide the internals and make it look more finished without having to modify the case I already printed. I was experiencing difficulty with multiple button presses or wrong button presses on the d-pad with the original d-pad design. Galvatrondeva's d-pad works great. I am currently working on a script that launches at start up that will automatically detect if an HDMI device is connected. If so, it will launch one config file so that video and sound can be played through the HDMI device. Otherwise, it will load the modified pigrrl zero config. Check back for updates later. At some point I will probably remix the case to include the button faceplate and the cutout for the hdmi port so check back later.
