UPDATE 1.2 (10/12/17) The top and bottom case have been updated. Mounting holes are now replaced with "nubs" for better stability. Holder has been updated to provide more secure housing for the slide switch. The mounting holes are now a standard 2.6mm diameter, compatible with M2.5 x 5mm screws. UPDATE 1.1 The case has been revised and improved! A new switch holder has been added to make assembly easier. The halves of the case snap together perfectly, eliminating the need for additional screws or adhesive. Screws holes have been removed from the amp, Pi 2, and powerboost areas, allowing them to snap fit securely onto the "nubs". Using a Raspberry Pi 2 (or Model B+), this project is about the same size as the original but features more buttons and improved audio capabilities. Building becomes easier with this update! The custom gamepad PCB dramatically cuts down build time by up to 50%. Simply solder in the buttons and an IDC box header, eliminating tedious button wiring. Project Expectations: This project is designed for beginners but still requires a good amount of soldering, wire tinning, and elbow grease. However, with dedication, it can be completed within a weekend.
