Pig Salt and Pepper Shaker
thingiverse
I reimagined the fantastic Salt/Pepper Pig by Zh4x0r. The pigs are now labeled to distinguish between them. Pepper pig displays both nostrils open, while salt pig only has one visible (this is how it's done in the US). I adjusted the angle of the pig's snout for smooth printing and to prevent stringing issues. Additionally, I resized the screwable tail to 95% to ensure a better fit. Key details about the pig include labeling the pigs so you can tell which one is salt and pepper, having both nostrils open for the pepper pig and only one for the salt pig (this is how it's done in the US), adjusting the snout angle for printing without supports or stringy issues, resizing the screwable tail to 95% for a better fit, and adding a flexible filament-printed pig foot instead of using sugru. Print settings were optimized for the best results. The printer used was a MakerBot Replicator (5th Generation) with specific settings applied: Rafts are enabled for added stability, Resolution is set at 0.2mm for precision, Infill percentage is at 10% to balance strength and weight, and Supports are disabled to allow for smoother prints. The print settings used for the main pigs and tail were successful, producing beautiful results. However, a slight modification was made when printing the pig foot using Ninjaflex Cheetah on a MakerBot Replicator 2. According to the suggested specs from the Ninjaflex website, the temperature is set at 235 C, travel speed is 30 mm/s, active cooling fan layer is 2, and printing speed is adjusted accordingly for infill, insets, first layer, and roof surface.
