Pig Humerus
myminifactory
This bone was unearthed from the south yard at James Madison's Montpelier through archaeological excavation. It underwent 3D scanning using a NextEngine Desktop 3D scanner to capture its precise details. The object was scanned in order to enrich the digital content of the Virginia Foundation for the Humanities' Encyclopedia Virginia, focusing on slavery in Virginia. This scanning project is made possible by a grant from the National Endowment for the Humanities.
