This replacement part is specifically designed for the Pifco P40014 Air Cooler, but it could potentially fit other similar models as well. The original mechanism features a pump that dips into a water tank containing ice blocks and transfers water over a paper filter. A pivot hook connected to a spring lowers the pump when the tank is pressed in. Unfortunately, one of my children made an error by placing the ice blocks on the wrong side of the tank, which prevented the pump from descending. Instead of removing the tank, they forced it further into place, causing the hook to snap due to its design vulnerability. This replacement part addresses that specific issue, making it a necessary fix for damaged mechanisms. Keep in mind that while this part may be versatile and adaptable to various air coolers, I can only speak from my own experience with one particular model.
