Piece to attach Oculus controller to a 3/4" bar
thingiverse
*** THIS IS A WORK IN PROGRESS*** it requires fiddling with two models to merge them in Cura. This is part of an adapter to hold an Oculus Quest 2 controller to a 3/4" diameter bar. The purpose is to turn a wooden bar into a VR "oar" for the game Kayak VR. This is not useful on its own. In order to be able to use it with a Q2 controller, you also need this part: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4734013 (Oculus Quest 2 inner Ring) I originally just loaded both files into Cura and arranged them so that the ring sat directly on the slanted portion of the adapter (slightly overlapping so it printed as one object. That was ok, but when I put it on a 3/4" wooden dowel, I wanted a little more room between the rod and the controller. So I rearranged them in Cura so that the ring was rotated a couple of degrees relative to the adapter. I lowered the part on the "high" part of the adapter and raised the part on the "low" part of the adapter. I had to play around with it to make sure that when I rotated it the pieces still touched at both ends, and also didn't poke through the top of the ring. I know there are much better/cleaner ways to do this and merge the two into a single model, but I don't currently have the technical know-how to do it. If anyone else wants to take a shot feel free.
