Russia's Republic of Bashkortostan, in the Khaibullinsky district, is home to the Perevolochan-I necropolis. Here, an ancient burial site was unearthed, and among its artifacts, Kurgan No. 12 stands out. Within this kurgan lies Burial No. 5, where archaeologists discovered a unique piece of plate armor. Accompanying this impressive find is a curved animal horn, measuring a significant 93 mm in length and 32 mm in width, with a remarkable thickness of just 4 mm. A single thread, possibly used for sewing or repairing the armor, was also found at the site. Dating back to the Iron Age, these relics are a testament to the Sarmatian culture that once thrived in this region.
