Pie Tamper Tool
thingiverse
To assist my wife in pressing down the pastry in her Sunbeam Pie Maker, a tool was needed to aid the process. The pies are baked in a Sunbeam Pie Maker. My solution to help my wife lay out the pastry for use is a custom 3D printed pie tamper tool. Before the pie maker heats up, I lay out the pastry over the pie maker as per normal procedure. Now I use the new tamper tool to press the pastry into place, aiming for even thickness in the pie walls. The tamper measures 74mm wide at its base and a maximum of 95mm at its top. Its walls are 30mm high when measured vertically. To clean the tamper, follow these instructions: Wash it in warm soapy water, but avoid immersing it in very hot water or placing dishes into a dishwasher. High temperatures can cause the plastic tamper to warp permanently. My print is made from PETG 1.75mm 3DFillies orange filament with a layer height of 0.2mm and 15% infill on my PRUSA I3 MK3S printer. I hope you find this print useful as well.
