Pie case With lcd and buttons
thingiverse
Raspberry Pi Case Concept Inspired by Stargrove1's Design Building on Stargrove1's innovative Raspberry Pi Music Player housing with an integrated LCD, I've created a more feature-rich version with additional functionality. Key components include affordable 16x2 LCDs from dx.com and durable 6mm tactile buttons, chosen for their precise feel. Due to the design still being in its infancy, files may undergo revisions in the coming weeks or months. Your input is invaluable - I'd love to hear your suggestions and feedback on this concept. Let's make it happen! **Instructions** For Assembly: 1. Attach the front panel using a suitable adhesive method (recommended). 2. Other components will slide into place without additional adhesive, reducing complexity. 3. Optional sanding and filing may be required for a snug fit between components and buttons with smooth movement. Hole Placement: I added dedicated holes for optional hold-downs to secure older Pi units lacking mounting points. Assembled components may benefit from additional fasteners; the included tabs can be drilled and screwed together, creating a sturdy case. Upcoming steps involve integrating the buttons and LCD to Raspberry Pi GPIO for seamless user interactions.
