PID control housing for the Rancilio Silvia espresso machine
thingiverse
This housing is designed for a XMT7100 PID temperature control, specifically for Rancilio Silvia espresso machines. It offers enhanced display readability and easy button access due to its angled design. The front interior is chamfered for simple PID removal during maintenance. Ventilation holes on top and side slits ensure the PID remains cool. Credit goes to Ryuichi Maeda (prismtone) for the "Ptf Nordic Round" font. Print with or without the "Boilertemperatur" front label, as STL files with and without it are available. For installation, route cables through a tube, pass it through the machine's back hole, and secure with cable ties. The PID easily snaps into the case, which can be removed via the chamfered front for maintenance. Properly align the housing in the front groove of the espresso machine, taking note of the intentional small crease. Ventilation features should help keep the PID cool, as it doesn't heat up significantly. Enjoy your enhanced espresso machine control!
