PID CONTROL BOX
thingiverse
PID 1.0 IS NOW COMPLETE, TESTED AND PRINTED. ITS DONE!. ALL OTHERS ARE IN EARLY STAGES ALSO WITH A LIGHTER LID. This is a temperature control box with PID, SS solid state relay, K type thermocouple connector and light switch/plug combo with 40mm 12 vdc fan. I have just finished it! If printing in Cura set to support everywhere, lower the density to 10% and raise overhang angle to 88%. I will update you if these settings work when I print it. UPDATE! I am sorry, but I just noted that the 40mm fan is stuck a bit, so I made it flush inside and out! As a personal preference, I would have the fan blowing out heat. Perhaps I'll make a printable washable filter and slide it on the intake by SSRD! HUM! UPDATE 1/6/2019. I forgot to add power input access (nothing that a stepper bit can't fix) also the outlet/switch is a bit close to edge, so I ended up trimming the outlet to fit. Everything else is perfect! FIXED 1/7/2019. I added an input hole, moved the fan up and moved the outlet away from the edge and closer to PID. I also added extra material to flush the protrusion of outlet and add strength. I made the lid lighter and a bit less tight. 1/8/19 I printed the first model it took 21 HR and the settings for Cura above worked great! I am currently printing 1.0 and lighter lid next.
