This program crafts a spiral vase from any given height map image. The cylindrical shape of the vase varies in diameter as a function of the image's brightness, creating unique and varied results. The software generates an OpenSCAD program that can be run using the download available at www.openscad.org. This allows you to create an STL file and generate gcode via Slicer on the spiral vase setting. This tool chain gives users immense power to shape their creations as desired. While some images produce excellent shapes, others may not yield desirable results - it all depends on the image used. Not every image is a height map, and most are not. Users should experiment with different images until they gain a feel for how the program works. This program is written in Processing language, so to use it, you must visit www.processing.org and download the free software. If possible, please make a donation to support this project. Each time you run the program, you need to slightly modify it by placing the filename at the beginning. I aim to improve the code to include a popup window for finding files but have not yet achieved this feature. When this is implemented, users will be able to easily locate their desired files. Users are also free to modify the code in other ways to produce varied effects. Please note that this YouMagine entry operates in WIKI mode, allowing you to make improvements and modifications to the code. Long live OpenSource!
