This is a custom-designed picture frame, available in several sizes and configurations. (It's fully parameterized in OpenSCAD, if you'd like one that isn't here just message me.)Each side piece prints individually and connector pieces hold it all together. There are several variations of the connectors depending on how tight you want the fit. Use a dab of super glue for a permanent join. The back of each side includes a hanging cutout for a nail, and a hole to attach a wire if you like.Currently, there is only one frame profile uploaded ("A"). It is 18 mm deep and 18 mm wide, with the picture set 5 mm back. The picture opening supports a 1 mm thickness suitable for photo paper, a 2 mm added margin, and a 4 mm rabbet.Printing TipsPrint the sides as oriented in the .stl file (outside edge on the build plate). This will have the sides facing the viewer showing the horizontal layer lines, which is a very nice effect. It also requires no supports in this orientation. The corner connectors are a friction fit (unless you use glue). Print them as oriented in the .stl file (dimples up). This will have the maximum strength and orient the layers to resist bending during insertion/removal. If the fit is too loose or too tight, use your slicer to scale the piece in the z axis only (try a very small amount, like a single layer height). The 11 inch piece is a bit too large for the MK3S+, so the .gcode orients it at a 40 degree angle (it prints upwards) with minimal supports. I haven't printed this yet, but it looks really fun to try.Update 2023-01-15I have added four new files, based on a specific request, to accommodate a larger 700x500mm picture: Corner1-150mm, Corner2-150mm, Middle-200mm, Connector-Straight.Use each corner piece with a middle piece (one on the short side, two on the long side)Use the straight connector except at the cornersDuring my early testing the quality was very hard to control for multi-segment sides and I wasn't happy with the result.Your results will vary depending on your equipment, material, and printing environment.Good luck! The frames pictured are in Prusament PLA Mystic Brown and Galaxy Black, and they look even more awesome up close. The Mystic Brown one looks like a wood frame until you examine it in detail.
