Intruduction:

I designed a highly customizable button. You can take any picture you want and get it in the picture frame button. Also you can change the look of the button as often as you want. Today a Twitter logo and tomorrow a skull? No Problem. You want a jaket with pictures of your family? Thats also possible. Your children wants buttons with their heros? You can make it right now. :)

Instructions:

Print instructions:

I print it in PETG an PLA, but I recommend PETG. It is a little bit more felxible and the tollerances a very tight to get a good hold

Make sure the option “Gap fill” is turned off for the crown.

Print it with a 0.1mm resulotion for the best results.

Assembly instructions:

Print the body and crown

choose your picture or print some. In the file section you can find a template for a 1inch pattern what you can use. It is optimized for 18x13cm Pictures if you want to print it at a self service photo station. The file type is svg for the free tool Inkscape.

optional: cut out some laminating foil (as seen in the picture)

cut out the picture you want. You don't have to be super accurate, the crown give you some play to hide. :) If you want it a little bit easier you can get a 1inch Punch hole like this: https://www.amazon.de/Fiskars-174360-1001-rund-Squeeze-Circle-Round-n-round/dp/B000OMYCXK/ref=sr_1_6?__mk_de_DE=%C3%85M%C3%85%C5%BD%C3%95%C3%91&crid=1E121P99NIL8B&keywords=1%2Binch%2Bpunch%2Bhole&qid=1642793725&sprefix=1inch%2Bpunch%2Bhole%2Caps%2C77&sr=8-6&th=1

sew the main Body to your clothing

Take the optional foil and the picture and lay it in the crown.

Push the crown on the body. Make sure you push as straight as possible. The tollerances are very tight. For a permanet fit use a very small drop of CA-glue on the inside of the crown.

Helpful tools:

Online-tool to create round pictures: https://rolladvantage.com/tokenstamp/

Inkscpae to create the pattern

1inch Punchhole makes it easier, but you don't really need it to make this button.
