A nice way to keep keys and organized near your door: Hang them below your favourite picture frame!

Benefits:

prints fast, shouldn't need support material (even the overhang, just try it)

no additional holes in the wall / sticky tape on the wallpaper

fully configurable via OpenSCAD via these instructions. But also may variations already included here to download

Selecting the right model to print:

Select the number of hooks you would like to have, e.g. 5hooks like in the picture. Go to that folder (so here “5hooks”)

Then measure the needed gap size: Measure the distance from the back of the picture frame to the groove where the metal clips go into to fix your picture in the frame:

Select the STL file with the next larger gap size, so for a measurement of 8.7mm use the STL with 9mm in the filename.

Printing

Then print the STL file without supports (the small tabs print not perfectly, but it still fit to my wooden picture frame easily).

Finally, clip the key hooks into the back of your picture frame and hang up the frame. Profit!

Have fun!
