The PICS (Intelligent Safe Charger Protector) was designed by the SESI-Itapiratas Robotics team as an innovative solution to protect babies from having direct contact with different chargers, especially smartphones, which are left connected to the power grid after charging, with the USB terminals (regardless of type) fully exposed. Babies, due to their primitive instinct to experience everything around them, tend to bring objects to their mouths. According to our research, contact between the moist mucosa of the mouth and the metal tip of the charger still connected to the electrical network can cause a short circuit, causing a shock to the baby. Due to the fragility of their bodies, which are still being formed, this shock can be fatal or leave serious burns. PICS is more than a project, it is a social responsibility. It is affordable, cheap, has a sustainable appeal and is versatile because, being universal, it can be used for different types of chargers. It can be made from any type of filament, including recycled PET filament, be transferred between different charger models over the years, with extreme durability. The intelligent mechanism based on spring action, closes the lid automatically after disconnecting the cable from the device, leaving the metal tip exposed, protecting the baby. The mounting is very simple: just use the spring system of a hair clip and hot glue. This type of glue will allow the cable to be easily removed when changing devices/chargers. Place the spring at the junction of the two parts and secure it. Then place your charger inside the protector and seal using the hot glue, taking care to position the metal tip in the center. That's it, now you can use your charger without fear of it being dangerous for your child! Os bebês, pelo instinto primitivo de experimentar tudo a sua volta, tendem a levar objetos até as suas bocas. De acordo com nossas pesquisas, o contato entre a mucosa úmida da boca e a ponta metálica do carregador ainda conectado à rede elétrica pode causar um curto-circuito, provocando um choque no bebê. Devido à fragilidade de seus corpos que ainda estão em formação, esse choque pode ser fatal ou deixar sérias queimaduras. O PICS é mais do que um projeto, é uma responsabilidade social. Ele é acessível, barato, tem apelo sustentável e é versátil, pois, sendo universal, pode servir para diversos tipos de carregadores. Pode ser feito de qualquer tipo de filamento, incluso o filamento PET reciclado, ser transferido entre diversos modelos de carregador ao longo dos anos, com extrema durabilidade. O mecanismo inteligente com base na atuação da mola, fecha a tampa automaticamente após a desconexão do cabo do aparelho, não deixando a ponta metálica exposta, protegendo o bebê. A montagem é muito simples: usa-se apenas o sistema de molas de uma presilha de cabelos e cola quente. Esse tipo de cola permitirá que o cabo seja facilmente removido em caso de troca de aparelho/carregador. Coloque a mola na junção das duas partes e prenda-a. Depois, coloque seu carregador dentro do protetor e sele usando a cola quente, tomando cuidado para posicionar a ponta metálica no centro.
