Hello, I was intrigued by the prospect of brewing kombucha without the hassle of cheesecloth and a rubber band. I stumbled upon an old pickle jar lid, which sparked my interest in creating a makeshift filter. After adding a sizable hole to the center of the lid, I discovered that it made an ideal alternative to traditional filters. Simply place a coffee filter over your pickling jar, then screw the modified lid down securely – it turns with ease.
