Pickerel frog
prusaprinters
I liked my first iteration of the naturalistic frog, painted in Slicer for a five-tool XL, so I shared its code as the Leopard Frog. Levin_Studer made a great model for this. After putting in some time to get its colors and markings as close to right as I could, I came up with this realistic Pickerel Frog. It's big, 7.5 inches from its heel to its nose. I painted it with a spherical brush, so the colors are deeply set into the model like inlay. You could sand it if you wanted to, but I am pleased with its obviously 3D printed qualities. It was done with .6 nozzles, and I used a particularly good Overture filament with a brown-to-green color shift for the frog's default color. The colors are mapped Tool 1, Overture Bronze; Tool 2, PolyTerra Matte Brown; Tool 3 PolyTerra Army Beige; Tool 4, PolyTerra Matte Black; Tool 5, Esun White.Aside from picking off the support, the frog pictured is precisely as it looks coming off the plate.
