Picatinny Wall Mount (one hand operation)
prusaprinters
SummaryInspired by https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:5867871 I wanted to create something similiar for Picatinny / STANAG4694. Due to its nature a simple hanger was impossible. To release the replica just grap it, slide the locking part upwards and remove the replica with a slight twist. For attaching your airsoft replica to the wall slide the moveable part upwards, twist the rails in and slide the moveable part down to secure the replica. It requires you to have 5 free slots on your rail. The replica will be 21mm offset from the wall. The hanger is designed for 4,5mm wood screw with 90° (2x 45°) countersunk head (not 60°!) like SPAX offers them.BOM1x screw M4x45mm (minimum length 42mm)2x washers for M41x nut M4 (or 2 nuts or 1 selflocking nut or locktight, etc.)1x screw 4,5x35mm (or M4) with 90° countersunk head (35mm length should be considered the minimum)MiscellaneousRegarding the one hand operation feature:I know a guy that owns an airsoft field and also lends equipment to new players. For that he has a bunch of airsoft replicas which are just thrown into a lockable cupboard. So they cuddle at the bottom while the upper space does not get utilized. Ever carried five or six replicas and wanted to store them properly? Yeah, you want a one hand operated hanger ;-)This is some kind of a right handed version. For lefties just mirror both parts in your slicer or use both hands.Sadly I was not able to develop a hanger that is used like these broomstick hangers. You know, like: slide the replica in from the bottom and let go. To release just slide it up a little bit more and take it out. But hey, maybe one day... (obviously a lie).So the SketchUp file is included as usual. Maybe you are more creative (or just want to change minor things).Post-PrintingDepending on your printers tolerances you might want to smooth the sliding surfaces a bit.
