The clip at the base of this Picatinny ring had snapped, rendering it unable to securely fasten attachments to the rail. The faulty piece was no longer gripping the attachment with the same level of stability it once provided. This replacement component restores the rail's ability to hold attachments snugly in place, just as its predecessor did before it failed.
