However, please note that if you print it standing on its end, it may not withstand stress in the most critical direction. Update: The Picatinny 3 slot 1-inch rail rise supports #6 - 32 1" hardware and features nut and bolt holes that are sized to accommodate this type of hardware. Additionally, the rail hole at the bottom was scaled up by 1.02 to allow for tolerances. If you're wondering how to install or remove this riser from your rail, here's a step-by-step guide: If you have a picatinny rail with a floating barrel, simply slide the riser onto the rail and it should fit snugly in place, as long as there are no obstructions blocking its path. However, if your rail has a snap-on design or other type of locking mechanism, you'll need to carefully snap the riser into place. I've used PLA/wood material for my prints, which have proven strong and flexible enough to withstand the stretching forces exerted on the rail. To snap the riser onto the accepting rail, simply place one side of the riser onto the rail and pull it over until it expands enough to snap into place. To remove the riser from the rail, I recommend using a screwdriver (be careful not to scratch the rail) to gently pry one edge of the riser off the rail.
