### Presentation ### This project sets out to move the pi camera using 2 x 28BYJ-48 Stepper Motors and the Raspberry Pi. The project is now split: one for OctoPrint, and another for a standalone camera. The Raspberry Pi is too large for the standalone camera, so it's been replaced with the RPI Zero W, boxed in a case, handling its own server for both streaming and motor commands. The step motors management will serve both OctoPrint users and security cameras. Motion has been added with BackupCamIP to upload media to Google Drive. For OctoPrint, the RPI is used for the cam, and commands have been added to the control tab to pan/tilt the camera: Pan/Tilt OctoPrint ### Materials ### Nota: When you click on links to various merchants on this site and make a purchase, this can result in this site earning a commission, Thank you in advance. - 2 motors 28BYJ-48 with associated ULN2003 driver [here] - 2 screws 2x5mm to fix the motor into the camera head - 3 M3 x20 cap head to fixe head parts [here] - Dupond cables fem-fem are needed to connect the driver to the RPI [here] ### Wiring ### See the pic, Warning: respect the cable order - it's extremely important. motor 1 Ln1 > gpio 17 Ln2 > gpio 22 etc. Same for motor 2 ### Mounting Step ### Coming soon with the last model still in construction ### Software ### #### Motors Engine with Flask #### Python server manages asynchronous movement between motors (real thread). The API allows http send pan/tilt instructions to rotate motors. #### Motion Project #### Motion project detects moving and generates both pics and vids to sdcard mnt/motion folders. #### BackupCamIP #### BackupCamIP scans all medias from sdcard motion folder, uploads them to Google Drive, sends email with screenshots and link to drive folders created by date/hours. Medias are automatically cleaned after 5 days from both sdcard and drive.
