PiCam 1.3 Mounting Plate and GoPro Style Mount
thingiverse
This is my first ever practical 3D model that I've designed, printed, corrected, printed again, and finally put to good use. It's a mounting plate and GoPro mount (compatible with most GoPro style mounting systems). I needed a way to mount my PiCam (being used by OctoPrint) above the print surface but adjustable so that I can move it out of the way of larger prints. I downloaded and printed a flexi arm (myminifactory.com/object/3d-print-modular-mounting-system-34864) that attaches to a shelf unit. The flexi arm didn't have a PiCam mount ... so I made one. Hopefully there's someone else out there with the same problem that will find this useful :) The mount is designed in two parts... the main GoPro style mount, and the actual mounting plate. It was designed in two parts so that you don't have to use supports when printing. Just print both parts and place them back to back with the stand-offs pointing away from the GoPro style mount. Et Voila! If you have the PiCam with the little plexi-glass mount you can use the same nylon nuts and bolts that came with the camera. Alternatively you will need 4 x M2x12 bolts and 4 x M2 nuts.
