Pica Pencil Holder (under desk/table)
thingiverse
I wanted to mount some of my most commonly used tools on the underside of a hydraulic table that I just put together. Seeing as I use a Pica mechanical pencil a lot for the layout and setup of projects, it was one of the tools I wanted quick access to. I attached this to the bottom of the my table with a couple of button head sheet metal screws. There a couple of different designs here and both have their merits. One has a continuous circle and holds the pencil sheath via some ribs that interact with the clip geometry and the other is open on the bottom and snaps onto the sheath. This version also has a feature to stop sheath from pulling forward too far. I ultimately ended up using the holder with the notch cut out, as the front of the sheath bottoms out against a frame and the sheath is totally captured. It can still be unsnapped through the bottom, however, if you wanted to use the pencil sharpener built into the sheath. Like with all of my designs, this was created in inches, so if it shows up tiny in your slicing software, you will need to multiply the scale by 25.4 to convert mm to inches. Let me know what you think and post those makes!
