The time has come to retire the 16F876 dev boards. The 876/7 is the low end, general purpose microcontroller I grew up with, but it's no longer recommended for new designs. The 16F18857 is a very nearly pin compatible replacement that is faster and available in a smaller footprint. So here it is the PIC16F18857 development board. It's about half the size of the 16F876 dev board, with pretty much the same functionality.
