Pibow Coupé Case Bracket For Lulzbot Mini
thingiverse
I updated the STL file so that the mounting bracket can now accommodate the popular plexiglass enclosure found on eBay and Amazon for the Mini. If you're not using this enclosure, then you won't be affected. The "random slot" is there for any unexpected situations. The pictures of the green bracket are from version 1. They still offer useful guidance as the mounting process remains unchanged. The yellow bracket, however, represents the updated version 2 which allows the enclosure bracket to fit perfectly. Beyond the notch and some minor improvements in structure and tolerance, they function identically. This is a compact bracket designed to attach a Raspberry Pi in a Pibow 3 Coupé case to the side of a Lulzbot Mini. By doing so, you can run OctoPrint on the Pi discreetly located on the side of the Mini. The bracket-to-Pi side employs 2.5mm nylon bolts while the bracket-to-Mini side uses 3mm nylon bolts. To avoid any potential issues with metal screws, it's recommended to stick with nylon due to their proximity to the electronics of both the Pi and the Mini. With the Pi mounted in this particular location, you can make use of the Lulzbot Mini Raspberry Pi Camera Mount and an 18" flex camera cable to position your Pi camera comfortably within view of your build area. I chose this specific case for its ease of access to the Display-O-Tron Pi Hat, which allows you to stream system information from OctoPrint directly onto your display or any other device of interest. You'll likely require a micro USB cable with a 90 degree connector to ensure sufficient clearance for powering the Pi. Printer Settings: Printer Brand: LulzBot Printer: Mini Rafts: No Supports: Yes Infill: 20% Notes: I printed with 3 shells and 20% infill. Since it doesn't bear much load, there's no need to worry about its strength. Supports are necessary for the significant overhang in the middle.
